The Canadian Dental Benefit is designed to assist qualified parents or guardians in covering dental costs for children below 12 years of age. This program provides up to $650 annually, tax-free, for a period of two years. The benefit targets around 500,000 children and is offered to families who do not have private dental insurance and have an adjusted net income below $90,000.

All of the points below must apply for you to be eligible for the Canada Dental Benefit.
- Your child must be born on or after December 2, 2010 (under 12 years old as of December 1, 2022).
- Your child needs to receive dental care services in Canada from October 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
- Your child must not have access to a private dental insurance plan.
- Your child's dental costs must not be fully covered by any other dental program provided by any level of government.
- As of December 1, 2022, you must be the only parent or caregiver receiving the CCB for your child, or have shared custody of your child and receive half of the CCB.
- You must have filed your 2021 taxes.
- As of December 1, 2022, your spouse or common-law partner must have filed their 2021 taxes, or you do not have a spouse or common-law partner.
- Your adjusted family net income for 2021 should be less than $90,000.
